Tankbund, Hyderabad: Owing to the high humidity conditions in Hyderabad, today Gautam Buddha was seen taking rest at the tank bund for the first time since the statue was erected in 1992. “This time, its intensity is more, not allowing people even to sleep peacefully at nights. A source of scourge for all of us. I pity poor Buddha,” said a resident.

With temperatures consistently crossing the 40-degree centigrade mark, the Hyderabad MET Department declares heat wave alert. The dry wind, especially in the afternoons, makes life more difficult for one and all.

This spectacle was caught on camera by various NEWS channels, including BS News. Earlier in summer, Shekhar, an IT professional, created panic when he claimed he spotted Buddha at a near by juice stall. He was held at an asylum since then. With the proof on hand, he is expected to be released from the asylum. In the meantime the Green activists protested and blamed this on global warming.
